its present management to the early leadership of Roy R. Avirett who, in
1932, organized Roy R. Avirett Insurance Agency in Meridian,
Texas. The infant company had no capital and was housed in one
room of a bank building.
Avirett Agency, Inc. entered the general
casualty insurance field in 1940, having previously written only fire
insurance.
Today, Avirett Agency, Inc. has a full service
office located at 123 North Main in Meridian, Texas.
